Aretian’s co-founder, Jeremy Burke, recently participated in a round-table discussion organized by Will Kistler of urbanOvation and hosted by Christopher Choa on the topic of “Urban Technology and the Social Contract”. During the discussion, each participant shared their current views about how technology is shaping and rewriting our current social contract, which provides comfort and access to amenities, through an aggregation of resources and services. Technology, however, is changing how many of our liberties are interpreted and played out in the urban stage.
General topics included: Unreliable Promise, Social Difference, Shared Experience, Anonymity, Relationships, Truth, Resilience, and Social Character. Please read the official summary by Chris Choa here.
